about us

We’re a Detroit-based education and technology company.
We specialize in creating
ready-made and custom-built Excel, Word, & Google Drive templates for educators.

tell me about the name.

Excel Yourself went through a bunch of different names before we finally settled on this one. We picked it because we mostly focus on building irresistible spreadsheets that you can use to make your work easier.

We also picked it because of the pun. Our business is all about you getting ahead, or excelling, at work. Pretty clever, eh?

hi, i’m anthony,

and I started Excel Yourself!

I serve educators who are looking for the perfect tools to help make work simpler. I help them find more time in the day for the work that matters, while getting more organized than ever before.

I’ve had ten years of experience teaching and coaching folks with technology. And, for the last four years, I’ve worked in schools, learning about the needs and pain points of all different type of educators. I’ve helped transform useless, vague documents and templates into essential tools my colleagues couldn’t live without.

When I’m not organizing, coaching, or creating irresistible docs, I can probably be found lying on the beach listening to one of my favorite books. If not on the beach, I’ll likely be at home with my boyfriend Kevin and my cat Louie, binge watching hours of Grace & Frankie or Schitt’s Creek on Netflix.

If you’re dying to know more, here are a few things you don’t know about me:

  • I love classical and jazz music! I go to the symphony all the time, and I play first-chair trombone in a local symphony band.
  • One of my favorite non-fiction books is The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. If it’s fiction, it’s got to be Harry Potter.
  • I don’t play video games that much, but when I do, you can bet it’ll be a Zelda game. Or Minecraft. I waste so much time playing Minecraft.
  • I love to travel! Of all of the places I’ve visited, I’ve been to Chicago the most.
  • Occasionally I like to take photos. All of the images on this page are photos I’ve taken around Detroit!

If any of this sparks your interest, I’d love to work with you!
